Tuesday's Bible Study I didnt go as I had a dinner to go..not a wedding dinner..haha..but a farewell dinner..The English side treated my family to a farewell dinner at Serangoon Jumbo Seafood Resturant..How sweet of them..
At first,I felt so scared, like somehow will feel out with them cuz not very close...as we enter the VIP room, they stood up and really welcome us..it was so nice..we sat down and not long food was served..there were like so many dishes..I was full and thought that thats it, but no..came out mroe..oh my..think its more than 10 dishes?i duno..all i can remember is alot alot of food..haha..their crab was good..
There were a total of 14 of us including my whole family..during the meal we chatted and laughed alot..i reallie did enjoy myself during the dinner..i thought i will feel reallie out and wun enjoy..
After the dinner, I had a complete different impression of the English side..They are not proud..they are really nice ppl and really open and generous ppl..
I thought they will be like as 'narrow-minded' as the chinese side about Charismatic churches..but to my surprise, they say, 'ya..there are things that we can learn from the charasmatic churches'...etc..never will you hear..never will you hear chinese side saying that..esp. the Elders..they will be like, 'NO..NO ..NO..'....Its funny, we are from the same church, but things are so different..
They were also sharing abit about their mission to India with the youths..den my dad asked..
Dad: Does the church subsidize the youths to the trips?
Aunty Josephine: Ya
Dad: How much?
Aunty Josephine: $1000
Dad: $1000 a group or $1000 per head?
Aunty Josephine: $1000 per head
Dad: Wow..den how much is the total cost for a person to go?
Aunty Josephine: $1500
Wow...really envious...they only need to pay $500 and that is alot of subsidy..their youths are really fortunate..
Another lady said, she went to a Charasmatic church and she felt that it is different from our church, den she say..they are very expressive, they raise their hands, close their eyes etc..and their worship is so spontaneous..she said she felt refresh when she was there..and can feel God's presence..
She also went to a Catholic church and than there, she felt God embracing her..she say reallie can feel God's presence..however, it doesnt happens in our church..like cant feel...i agree with her..
Than the rest oso say, ya..there are many things we can learn from them..not just objecting..than i felt, wow..they are so open...unlike wat i thought they were...they are like so willing to learn and try...
I agree, our traditional church..just objecting everything..but b4 objecting..i reallie think have to think why are you objecting? its not something wrong or wat...
closing up yourself, will have nothing good for yourself..wat new things will you learn?
Reallie had an enjoyable night with them..
If im their youths, I seriously dun mind sharing with them, my problems or wat, cuz they seem like they can understand and willing to help..

Collected the Christmas T-shirts from Eugene already, this morning...so heavy!
haha..not bad lar the shirt..haha..quite nice..i like the wordings..haha..this week wil start giving out..later going out to church to help out the the hand signals for the P6, will be giving them their shirts first later..cuz if not it will be too heavy for me to bring on sunday..haha..

Got practise later at 8pm for Sunday Worship..Ning cant be my bassist as she will be playing for the Nursery for the whole of December..so sad..haha..
Steph got work this week..so cnt play the synthesizer for me..
